About this Project
YOUNG & ASSOCIATES, PA were selected by the City of Derby to assist them in creating High Park. This project involved working together with the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Department, Sedgwick County Officials, the Derby Recreational Commission, and Derby Engineering and Public Works Staff.
Design elements in the park included:
- Four field baseball park
- Soccer practice fields
- Playgrounds
- Walking paths
- One-mile exercise path
- Amphitheater
- Public shelters
- Fishing lakes
Utility design included:
- Wastewater lift station and gravity mains
- Water service
